Project Description
The Westview Corporate Center is a 580,000 sf office development consisting of three multi-story buildings. The site is located at 402 Reo Street in Tampa and has frontage on Tampa Bay. MCL worked with Alfonso Architects and Beck General Contractors as the Civil Engineer for the project. Services provided were site plan, utility plan, grading & drainage plan, and landscape plan design along with all governmental agency permits. The project has yet to be built because of existing leases on the old buildings.
The corporate center is a phased project, consisting of two five-story buildings and one eight-story building. Along with the parking garage the project sits on a nine acre site. The campus design focused the buildings inwards towards a courtyard that contains a large reflecting pool and fountain. The courtyard will serve as a “town hall” style venue available for various recreational, entertainment or team-building activities. Additionally, all buildings and the courtyard will have views towards Old Tampa Bay to the West of the site.
The site was designed to minimize infrastructure costs and meet all applicable standards within the City of Tampa Land Development Code. The building footprints were designed with functionality in mind. Building heights were coordinated with the FAA during the rezoning process and the lift station was designed to county specifications. Additionally, the site was designed to be LEED certified silver.
